Snow!

As I begin today's blog, I want to thank everyone for coming to our Holiday Program on Thursday.  I was so glad that we had the opportunity to perform.  It was nice to see everyone!

Circle Time:  We are learning about the letter S.  The children love snow, so we will be doing a lot of snow activities this week.  I'm glad we got a little more snow over the weekend.

Story:  Your child has brought home a note about our story today and the activity that they are doing with it. Thank you for your help!

Group Time:  I places pictures of 9 snowmen at various places around our classroom.  Each snowman was wearing a hat with a number on it.  Each hat was a different color.  I gave the children clipboards and a paper with 9 hats that matched the snowmen's except that it was missing the color.  The children had to find the matching numbers and color it to match the hat.

Art:  The children painted Popsicle stick snowflakes.  I had glued 3 Popsicle sticks together to make a snowflake shape.  The children selected a color of paint and painted the snowflake.  Then they sprinkled white glitter on it.  We will display these on our bulletin board in the hallway.

Snacks:  The morning class had granola bars and juice brought by Katelyn.  The afternoon class had string cheese, crackers and juice brought by Brett.

Following the holiday party in the afternoon class, we found a changing pad that must have fallen out of someones diaper bag.  If you are missing one, please let us know.
