Goats Eat Grass

Circle Time:  We talked about how to make the letter G using a curve and two little lines.  We did wet, dry, try on our chalkboards.  Tomorrow, we will make a list of G words.

Story:  If Grass Could Talk is a non-fiction book that tells us about all different kinds of grasses.  We learned that grass is important for keeping soil in it's place.  We also learned that grass is a good food source for animals and people.  Ask you child to tell you one kind of grass that we eat.

Group Time:  We planted grass seeds in pop bottle terrariums.  We took empty pop bottles and cut them in half.  We placed dirt, grass seed, and a little water in the bottom half.  Then we put the top half back on using a little tape.  We will put these on the window sills so that they we receive some warm sunlight.  The grass should grow in a few days.

Snacks:  The morning class had granola squares and milk brought by Will.  The afternoon class had Go-gurt and juice brought by Alivia.  Thank you!
