Circle Time: We opened the Q tub and started a list of Q words. The two that we had to explain were quail and quartz.
Story: The Puppy Who Wanted a Boy is the story of a puppy named Petey who wanted a boy for Christmas. He was a very good puppy, so his mother told him that she would go out and find him a boy. However, she couldn't find a boy that didn't already have a puppy. So Petey decides to go out and find one on his own. He doesn't have much success at first because the dogs he found did not want to give their boys away. However, in the end, he gets a nice surprise. Ask you child to tell you how it ends.
Group Time: We had our first rehearsal for our Holiday Program. The children selected parts on Monday. Today we learned where we would stand and began to work on the songs and movements. So far, so good!
Art: The children painted today with their fingers, but their fingers never touched the paper. They selected a metallic paint, gold or silver, and put some on their paper. Then they selected another color of paint to put with it. Then we covered it with plastic wrap and squished it together with our fingers. When we pull the plastic wrap off, it leaves a neat texture. We will use the painting to create ornaments to decorate the bulletin board in the hallway.
Snacks: The morning class had mandarin oranges brought by Malynah. The afternoon class had bananas and vanilla wafers brought by Colin Me. Thank you!
We are planning to play outside tomorrow. It's supposed to be a little bit colder, so dress appropriately!
