Happy Thanksgiving

Circle Time:  We wrapped up our talk about Thanksgiving.  We hope that everyone will have a wonderful Thanksgiving Day.  We used our outdoor classroom for play time today.  It was a very nice day.

Story:  We had a film strip of the story Clifford's Thanksgiving.  The children thought the film strip was very cool.  If you don't know what a film strip is, then you are a lot younger than me.  I used film strips a lot when I first started teaching back in ....  In the story, Emily Elizabeth goes to her Grandmothers house for Thanksgiving.  Clifford is supposed to stay with the neighbors, but decides to go visit his mother in the city.  Ask you child to tell you about his trip to the city.

Group Time:  Creating our own snack took a lot of our group time today along with the November birthday celebration.  We did have time to learn a new song called "Boom a Chicka Boom".

Snacks:  We made a turkey sandwich, but it's not what you'd expect.  We cut a turkey shape out of a piece of break with a cookie cutter.  Then the children spread butter on the turkey, sprinkled cinnamon sugar on top, and added Froot Loops for the colorful tail.  It was yummy.

We will be on break tomorrow and Friday.  We'll see everyone again on Monday, November 26th.
