Circle Time: We made a wonderful list of T words! We also sang the T song beautifully.
Story: We read Go Away Big Green Monster! This is a fun book about a monster who gradually appears in the book with a green face, two big yellow eyes, a bluish-green nose, a red mouth with sharp white teeth, two squiggly ears, and sraggily purple hair; but we aren't afraid of it and can make it go away!
Group Time: We completed the T page in our workbooks by tracing 4 letter T's and coloring a turtle.
We drew a picture of the Big Green Monster from our story. The children had to wait and follow the directions given to create this monster. This can be a hard task for 4/5 year old children, the waiting and following directions part, especially.
Snacks: The morning class had wheat and honey pretzel rods brought by Russell. The afternoon class had apples brought by Alexa. Thank you!
Mrs. Hoogheem's jury duty has ended. She will be returning on Monday. She could have returned today, but had made plans a long time ago to go and visit her grandson in Michigan and to attend his preschool for Grandparents Day. Mrs. Lehenbauer did a wonderful job of filling in for her, but we will be glad to be back to "normal" next week.
