Circle Time: Spring is officially here, even though it doesn't feel like it. We continued talking about things that grow in Spring.
Story: Our story for today was Happy Easter Curious George. Curious George and the man with the yellow hat go to the park. The children are decorating eggs and preparing for an egg hunt. A man begins to hide the eggs, but Curious George thinks that he is accidentally dropping them. Curious George collects all of the eggs. The man in the yellow hat asks George to hide them again for the children. Ask you child to tell you what happened after it was discovered that the Easter bunny was missing.
Small Group: We measured the length of several artificial flowers. The recording paper is in your child's backpack. We used a ruler that is shaped like a human foot, 12 inches long.
Art: The children made tulips using their hands to stamp a flower shape with paint. Then they added stems and leaves with brushes. These will be on display tomorrow.
Large Group: We completed the M page in our workbooks. We also went for a short walk to look at the daffodils that are starting to grow in the yard. I've asked the children to look at them every day as they arrive at school.
Snacks: The morning class had cheese Ritz-bits and juice brought by Maisie. Thank you!
The afternoon class had grahams, frosting and juice.
Tomorrow is the Spring Party at 10:00 (AM class) and 1:45 (PM class). Everyone is welcome to attend.
