Finishing up our ball study.

Circle Time:  We haven't had much time to work on the letter K this week.  Hopefully the children will have time to go over the K song at home.  It's a song with a lot of words. 
We are finishing our ball study tomorrow.  We talked about getting ready for our bowling trip.  I think we're ready to go.

Story:  We read a non-fiction book today called Balls, Birdies and Pucks.  It gave us a lot of information about sports that use these types of equipment.  It had a true/false quiz at the end.  It was a good way to review and to learn about the words true and false.

Group Time:  We played kick ball.  Each child was given several opportunities to kick the ball and run the bases.
We also practiced making the letter K on our wet, dry, try boards.

Art:  As a part of our kindness unit, we made buddy paintings today.   The children picked buddies with which to paint a picture.  They painted on the same paper.  Before painting, they had to make a plan with their buddy so that they could work together on the picture.  When they had finished, we placed another piece of paper on top of the original to make a copy.  Now each child will have a paint picture to take home.

Snacks:  The morning class had graham crackers, blueberries, and milk brought by Katelyn.  The afternoon class had pretzel crackers, cheese, and juice brought by Joey and Brett.  Thank you!
