Circle Time:  We have been talking about how easy it is to make the letter B because we already know how to do the letter P from last week.  As a matter of fact, I decided that we didn't need to do wet, dry, try today and did a counting activity instead.  I'm surprised at how quickly they have picked up the B song.

Story:  The Valentine Bears is the story of Mr. and Mrs. Bear who have never shared a Valentines Day together because they are usually hibernating.  Mrs. Bear decides that she will set her alarm early for Valentines Day.  She has prepared Valentine cards, honey, and crispy critters for Mr. Bear.  She tries to wake him up, but he is sound asleep.  Ask your child to tell you what happens next.

Group Time:  We did a math activity using candy hearts. Each child had 10 hearts in a dish.  I told them to count out a certain number of hearts and put them on a paper.  Then they had to count how many were left in the dish.  Some of the children were able to figure out how many would be left in the dish without counting them.

We used our balls to practice throwing and catching.  Everyone enjoys a good game of catch!

Snacks:  The morning class had Cheez-its and juice brought by Jake.  The afternoon class had Goldfish, string cheese, and juice brought by Jack.  Thank you!

If your child has not brought Valentines to school yet, please send them tomorrow.
