Circle Time: When the children came to preschool today, the first thing that they noticed was all of the lights that were strung up on the ceiling. The church had a Christmas dinner last night and the lights were left behind for us to enjoy. The afternoon class even requested that we turn off the regular lights during snack time. They said it was like eating in a fancy restaurant.
Story: In October, we read How Spider Saved Halloween. Well, Spider is back in the book How Spider Saved Santa Bug. In this story, letters to Santa are being returned to the children because Santa is missing. Spider, Ladybug, and Fly head to the North Pole to find him. They arrive at Santa's house and Mrs. Santa Bug tells them that he went out to practice sliding down chimneys. Can you figure out where Santa Bug is?
Group Time: We practiced our Holiday program. We will be doing this every Monday and Wednesday. The program will be held on the 20th. An invitation will be coming home soon.
Art: The children cut out paper light bulbs and decorated them with glitter glue. When they are dry, we will string them together to make a decoration for our classroom.
Snacks: The morning class had Bite Sized Shredded Wheat brought by Ryan. Thank you! The afternoon class had graham crackers because Myla our snack person for the day was ill. We hope she feels better soon.
I will be absent from school tomorrow afternoon. If I have enough time, I will blog before I leave. If not, it will have to wait until Wednesday.
