Magic C Bunny

Circle Time:  Our letter for this week is the letter C.  When we do letters with curves, Magic C Bunny comes to help us.  Magic C Bunny lives in a magician's hat.  He loves something that starts with the letter C.  Can you guess what it is?  Ask you child.

Story:  Because we are studying the letter C this week, I wanted to read a book about cars.  The Big Road Race is a Berenstain Bear's book.  Brother Bear is in a car race with his little red car.  The other cars in the race are much bigger and faster.  Who wins the race?  Why?  These are good questions to ask your child.

Small Groups:  One of our group activities was racing cars down ramps.  Mrs. Whiteman allowed us to use her extensive collection of Hot Wheels and ramps.

Now that the weather has gotten colder, our other activity was learning where to put the hats, gloves, and coats that we are wearing to school.  We also practiced zipping.  Most of the children are able to zip their own coats now.  Those that can't just need a little practice.  Some coats are harder than others, especially if the coat is long.  We'll get it!

Art:  The children put little paint puddles on a piece of paper.  Then they drove a toy car through the puddles and all over their papers.  The wheels make a neat design and some of the colors began to mix.

Snacks:  The morning class had graham crackers brought by Talal.  The afternoon class had grapes brought by Carter.  Thank you!

We worked on our Grocery Store again today.  Tomorrow will be our Grand Opening!
